Sinopsis momentánea en inglés: Gwang-pil (Lee Ryong), Dal-soo Choi (Choi Bong) and Sang-moon Choi (Myung-soo) are pickpockets. Gwang-pil has liked Ae-ran (Do Kum-bong) since they were very young. They rob a warehouse belonging to the US army but only Gwang-pil gets caught. Ae-ran pays a visit to Gwang-pil in prison and tells him that she works in a bar. Gwang-pil breaks out of the prison to see her. He meets Ae-ran but hits a detective that has come there to catch him with his car, and spends another 10 years in prison. Gwang-pil still hopes to see Ae-ran, but all the letters and parcels he receives while incarcerated are actually sent by Sang-moon, who has become a priest. In the meantime, Dal-soo marries Ae-ran, runs a club and starts his own gang. Upon his release, Gwang-pil goes to meet hospitalized Ae-ran and meets her 9 year old daughter, Eun-joo. Gwang-pil thinks Eun-joo is his own daughter but he cannot do anything about it.
