Respected veteran director Li Han-hsiang capped this, one of his best years as a filmmaker, with this fascinating period drama of royal intrigue. Li Kun plays the ingenious Lord Liu, whose intelligence was envied by the Emperor himself, enacted by Liu Yung. Both actors were two of Bruce Lee's favorite co-stars. Serving as a welcome co-star herself is My Young Auntie, Kara Hui, showing once again why she was a favorite of both legendary directors Chang Cheh and Liu Chia-liang.
