Sequel to the hugely critically acclaimed children of heaven (1).On the morning of a big exam, which could see savvy farmgirl Hayat (Ghazaleh Parsafar) landing a lucrative scholarship, her father is rushed to hospital. From the back of the truck that takes dad to medical assistance, Hayat's mother instructs her daughter to do the chores and care for her younger siblings. With a little prodding, her brother Akbar (Mehrdad Hassani) can be taken care of, but the needs of baby sister Nabat (Mohammad Sa'eed Babakhanlo) are more problematic. Frantically, but unsuccessfully, searching out relatives to help (including a parched aunt who drinks from the baby's bottle), Hayat is in danger of missing her exam entirely.Using each of her dilemmas as a way of studying (volume of cow's milk to calculate mathematics, physics to break open a lock, etc.) Hayat wins over audaud support even though she makes little progress toward her goal. Having preceded her to school, Akbar develops his own plan to skip class and aid Hayat in her plight.
A very sweet filmI saw this movie with English subtitles as i don't understand farsi , but yes i am very happy that i picked this movie .. If you want to have a look at innocent cinema, this is the movie for you .please do not miss this film. Its a very innocent and sweet film about a girl called Hayaat.. A teenager's DETERMINATION, confusions, struggle ,desperation, over enthusiasm have all been captured beautifully in the 75 minutes long movie..The child who plays Hayat's brother in the movie, is just terrific.. Cinema from Iran has certainly got a very bright future..This nation keeps churning out one great movie after another. I don't know if Hayat won any award at any festival or not but I would like each and every parents to show this film to their children. The director is in control of each n every frame of this movie and once the movie is 10 minutes old I assure you, you too like me will become a part of the film's surrounding and feel like a character of this miniature masterpiece.. Go help Hayat reach her destination which is....... ( Can't spoil the classic,go see it)
