Can you survive the terror of the Mysterious Island? Popular Hong Kong actor Jordan Chan and China hot idol Mini Yang lead an attractive cast in the suspense thriller from director Chung Kai Cheung (Who's Next). Joining them as participants of a game show that turns deadly are Hayama Hiro (3D Sex and Zen), Shaun Tam, the Shine duo Wong Yau Nam and Tsui Tin Yau, as well as sexy starlets Janel Tsai, Maggie Lee, Jessica Xu, and Anya. Opening in Mainland China in the crowded summer against big-budget blockbusters like Wu Xia, the movie still held its own at the box office with surprisingly outstanding numbers, and much of the success could be attributed to the movie's star appeal and effective marketing strategies.

A reality TV game show brings eight young men and women to a remote desert island. Given only a treasure map, with a show host and a cameraman following them, these contestants are there to race against each other to find the million-dollar cash prize. But what they find instead is a game of life and death, with dangers coming from the misty jungle, the desolate hospital, and even their fellow contestants! When these cursed contestants are killed one by one, those who remain must fight for their lives and find out the secrets of the Mysterious Island!

Que castigo y suplicio de película. Jordan Chan es el colmo del cachondeo (mejor tomásrselo así porque sino no se entiende...). Después de verla miré la filmografía de su director (Rico Chung) y empecé a entender el porqué de tal porquería. Responsable de la película Who's Next, en la que aparece Jordan Chan también. Una de las peores películas que recuerde haber visto. Lo llego a saber antes y ni me molesto con Mysterious Island.
