Hong Kong action veteran Kara Hui joins an eclectic cast of Malaysian and Singapore stars, including comedy veteran Henry Thia, Miau Lim, Frederick Lee, January So and Rabbit Chen, to deliver laughs and punches in the Malaysian New Year's action comedy Kungfu Taboo. Martial arts sect Bai Wu Men has a legacy that dates back over a hundred years, but in its present-day incarnation under ninth-generation leader Gong Guo Dong (Henry Thia), it barely manages to stay open. Guo Dong's sister Ying Chun (Kara Hui) has to work as a martial arts choreographer, his daughter Ling Long (Miau Lim) as a makeup artist, and his disciple Yang Zhen Zhen (January So) as a wushu teacher. The reason for Bai Wu Men's current sad state is because of the so-called Bai Wu Men Incident years ago, which led to the institution of five taboos that forbid disciples from fighting. As the legend goes, breaking these taboos will bring destruction and downfall to Bai Wu Men. Though the Gong family wishes to practice martial arts quietly, Bai Wu Men is linked to a mysterious lost wushu manual and there are people out there who want to get their hands on it!
This movie is about the legendary martial centre Bak Wu Men, which has already passed on through generations. Guo Dong, along with his sister Yin Chun (Kara Wai), daughter Ling Long (Miau Miau), and apprentice Zen Zen (January), always protect the martial center like their home. Although Bak Wu has the history of hundred years, everything has changed as time goes by. Guo Dong only teaches the villagers some easy moves and techniques to run the martial center. Therefore, other people in the center found different jobs to help the center for livelihood. Whoever obeys the rule, they will bring misfortune to Bak Wu Men.
There were once Yin Chun accidentally broke the rule and lead the Bak Wu Men into trouble. The mysterious person told her that he saw an opportunity of finding the long lost KungFu secret book which has already been disperse into four.
