Cita de: "auess"Qing hai chong wen (1929)Directed byXie YunqingAlso Known As:Kisses Once (International: English title)Runtime: 60 min Country: China Color: Black and WhiteSound: SilentSubs: English/Chinese intertitledimdb: NoneA Overview of Chinese Film HistoryCitarThis is a very rare early chinese silent film. It's proved the only existent film from Da Zhonghua-Baihe Film Studio, a small Shanghai film studio which only existed for two years, 1927-1929. Not like other contemporary films from those big studios like Mingxing or Lianhua, films made from Da Zhonghua-Baihe have obvious expressionistic style in actor's performance, costume, dressing...that beacuse the studio founder Xie Yunqing, had studied movie in Germany, and influenced by early german expressionism films. This is his only directed film, he also acted a role in this film, actually he's a famous actor at that time, not a director. Although I don't think this film is as good as those classics like The Goddess or Little Toys, but it's still an important one in 20s chinese film history, a unique film test which combine expressionism style with some chinese cultural traditions. It's also a ultra unknown film, never released or screened in any film festival as yet, and I can't find more informations about it.My rating 7/10.Subtítulos en español
