Japanese pop singers Koji Matsuo and Yuichi Matsuo display a different side of their talents in this offbeat horror film, which tells two interconnected stories. Asaji is a teenaged girl who has fallen in love with Ryoji, a boy in her class at high school. While Ryoji already has a girlfriend, Asaji becomes increasingly obsessed with him, and when she develops psychic and telekinetic abilities, the boy's female friends begin feeling her wrath in unexpected ways. Elsewhere, a woman named Naoko moves into a new apartment numbered 505, and soon hears all about local superstitions regarding rooms bearing the numeral five. Naoko doesn't put much stock in this at first, but repeated warnings from Kazuhiko, Ryoji's brother, suggest to her that there may be some truth in this tale, especially when she discovers something very strange in her closet. Shadow of the Wraith (aka Ikisudama) was directed by Japanese horror auteur Toshiharu Ikeda, best known for Evil Dead Trap.
