Osamu Sato’s New Toyko Decadence - Slave (Dorei) takes its inspiration from the true-life experiences of its lead actress, Rinako Hirasawa, who paid her way through school by moonlighting as a dominatrix. But it isn’t until she gets a straight job as a secretary that the real perversion begins. Lured into a boundary-testing relationship with her boss through her own admitted sexual masochism, Rina experiences every possible configuration of humiliation and elation. As such, the film is not only brimming with salacious sex scenes but also some stunning imagery and cinematography that recalls the classic art films of Hiroshi Teshigahara (Woman in the Dunes).
